Job description

A U.S.-based company that has continuously managed to build and evolve their social platform to meet the needs of modern-day internet users, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing scalable services and high-quality infrastructure. The company’s platform enables users across the globe to connect with each other and discuss common interests by joining and building online communities. The company has managed to secure more than $1.1bn during their Series F round of funding. This position requires 5+ hours of overlap with the U.S. time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Address the software's bottlenecks and make it more efficient
  • Using quality code reviews, unit, regression, and user acceptability testing, DevOps, and production support, ensure resilience and stability
  • To determine the scope and size of software projects, meet with the software development team
  • Participate in the ideation and development of microservices with the design team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Golang and React 
  • Familiarity with BigQuery, Redis, and PostgreSQL
  • Prior experience migrating services to Go as a back-end developer
  • Must have a M1 MacBook 
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication skills
