Full-Stack Engineer

A U.S.-based company that is using technology to provide real estate investors with an easier, dependable, and rapid alternative to get funding for their next investment property, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building the best solutions for the customers by collaborating with the design and product teams, business stakeholders, and others. The company is utilizing data and technology to give residential real estate owners access to the financing they require to expand their operations. The company has managed to successfully raise $156mn+ in funding so far. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Build web-based applications that the internal loan origination staff and borrowers can use
• Expose well-designed APIs for communication between services and clients
• Address production occurrences that the users have reported
• Uphold a high standard for quality, encourage code quality through peer-reviewed designs and code, and concentrate on test automation utilizing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Reduce technical debt by seeing and seizing opportunities to fix flaws and guarantee top performance across the whole code base
• Demonstrate a strong drive for success and seek out opportunities for learning and development
• Introduce every member to new procedures and tools that will increase productivity for the entire engineering team
• Pay close attention to the details to masterfully comprehend and deconstruct complicated issues
• Update the monolithic loan origination system and extract or replace the implementation with a more robust, modular service-oriented design

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
• Prolific experience working with React, JavaScript, Kotlin, and Ruby on Rails
• Ability to effectively communicate on paper, in person, or via a video call while adapting communication style to varied audiences
• Must be product-focused and take satisfaction in producing top-notch, usable items
• Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL is desirable
• Knowledge of AppSec, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Service Oriented Architecture
• Excellent written and conversational English communication skills
