Job description

A U.S.-based company that is building a cutting-edge platform for private lenders that provides investment property loans for homebuyers, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for creating web applications for the organization's internal loan origination team and borrowers. The company leverages modern technology to give real estate investors an easier, more dependable, and quicker option to get easy financing processes, and quick, reliable capital. The company has managed to secure more than $156mn in funding so far.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute well-designed APIs for communication between service-to-service and service-to-client
  • Address production occurrences that consumers have reported
  • Keep the bar for quality high by promoting code quality by utilizing designs and code that have undergone peer review, as well as, emphasizing test automation using the unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Reduce technical debt by seeing and seizing opportunities to fix flaws and guarantee top performance across the whole code base
  • Build the best customer solutions by working with the product and design teams, business stakeholders, and others
  • Communicate clearly in writing, in person, or through a video call by changing your communication style to suit various audiences
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to succeed and seek out chances to learn and develop productive, impactful, and able to work rapidly
  • Introduce the team to new procedures and tools that will boost productivity for the entire engineering team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Extensive experience working with React, JavaScript, and Ruby on Rails
  • In-depth knowledge of Ruby and Kotlin
  • Familiarity with Node.js, SQL, and TypeScript is desirable
  • Prolific experience working with front-end frameworks like React, GraphQL, and Next.js
  • Demonstrable knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
  • Nice to have some experience shifting from being a monolithic Rails application to a distributed set of services
  • Ability to learn and work with multiple programming languages
  • Must be primarily concerned with the product and take great pride in creating high-quality, user-friendly products
  • In-depth knowledge of AppSec will be helpful to handle customer’s private information and move billions of dollars around
  • Prior experience with application security is desirable
  • Excel in comprehending and deconstructing challenging issues while paying close attention to details
  • Excellent English communication skills, both conversational and written
