Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a next-gen social platform to help users join communities and connect with each other, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be working collaboratively across departments to implement products and business strategies. The company is enabling users to post links, produce content, and participate in discussions about the subjects that interest them. The company has managed to secure $1.1bn+ during their Series F round of funding. This is a nice opportunity for developers who are eager to work on a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create new features and products that are geared toward users
  • Discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participate in all phases of development, including technical planning, design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Review code and design documentation, and comment on product specifications and mockups
  • Create new things and be able to handle uncertainty and failure
  • Work with a group of dedicated, quick-thinking, and smart engineers
  • Develop standards that enhance development processes and suggest best practices
  • Keep learning and developing both your technical and non-technical skills


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-8+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • 5-8+ years of experience with front-end focused programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6
  • Experience working with A/B testing, hypothesis-building, and best practices
  • Prolific experience working with Python and Go
  • Extensive experience with web frameworks like LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, Angular, and CSS
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and Thrift basics is desirable
  • Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs is nice to have
  • Strong organizational abilities, including the capacity to set priorities and complete projects on time
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
