Job description

A fast-growing company that is determined to build the world's best ticketing platform by leveraging next-gen technology, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for seamlessly developing on top of existing software. With the help of the company's comprehensive theater software solutions, clients may market their theaters and increase their audience while also facilitating ticket sales. This will be a full-time position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with a cross-functional team while collaborating, and influencing their decisions
  • Deftly navigate a path between the needs of the business, the needs of the end user, and the available technology to find the best win/win solution
  • Assist in directing the development of fluid and responsive web applications from conception to implementation
  • Build the platform with a cutting-edge, open-source stack
  • Adopt new open-source technologies as they emerge that are best suited to meet the client's needs
  • Possess an excellent understanding of the most popular web browsers' practices for troubleshooting and debugging
  • Take full responsibility for and ownership of the projects that have been given to you
  • Develop a broad generalist mindset, take on multiple roles, and assist in helping to respond to shifting needs
  • Work independently, prioritize conflicting activities, and comprehend technical trade-offs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • 5+ years of experience building large, scalable web applications
  • 2+ years of experience with MySQL
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud architecture and implementation
  • Demonstrable experience working with React, Node.js, and MongoDB
  • Proficient understanding of JavaScript unit testing framework and libraries, like Mocha, Chai, Jasmine, and Jest
  • Experience managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Ability to prioritize feature requests and challenge institutional thinking
  • Nice to have a background or a strong interest in the Performing Arts Industry and/or a box office, ticketing, or a related live-event space
  • Excellent English communication skills
