Job description

A Silicon Valley-based company developing an innovative application for real-time charts and prices from all stock exchanges across the world is looking for a Full-Stack/Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for documenting plans and features for other members of the team to use. The company is enabling users to make smart investment decisions by using cutting-edge technology to provide a consolidated interface. During their Series A round of funding, the company successfully raise more than $3.2 mn. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end tasks, including design, implementation, unit testing, and deployment 
  • Advocate agile development processes (Scrum/ Kanban) 
  • Ability to strike a balance between rapid iteration and clean, well-tested code
  • Showcase leadership qualities with an ability to take ownership of technical projects and processes   

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer 
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in Node.js
  • At least 2+ years of experience in React Native
  • Comfortable working with microservices architectures
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL dB(s), web sockets, Kubernetes and Docker containers, and GCP is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of software quality assurance principles, SOLID design principles, and modeling methods
  • Experience in API design and management (REST/GraphQL) is nice to have 
  • Demonstrable experience with CI/CD pipelines 
  • Proficient with version control and effective collaborative development workflows
  • Ability to quickly fix bugs and solve problems in large, complex applications
  • Experience in the FinTech industry is a plus
  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team 
  • Experience working with startups is preferred
