Job description

A US-based news, information, and business services platform that is focused on delivering area-specific information is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with planning, building, and designing solutions and features while focusing on future needs and requirements. The company is building data, and structured information products that help business and government decision-makers, investors, consultants, and researchers better understand Asian companies, industries, and trends. This is a nice opportunity for developers to join a growing team of diverse and talented professionals. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with researchers, data scientists, computer engineers, and other stakeholders to implement new features
  • Design web systems through clean, well-documented codes with limited supervision
  • Define, document, and communicate software architecture
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements in system infrastructure
  • Respond promptly to ambiguous situations and work with a high commitment towards organizational goals

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience with APIs and integrating varied off-the-shelf products 
  • Prolific experience in PHP, JavaScript, REST API, Airtable, and RSS feeds is required
  • Expertise in High-volume CMS (preferably WordPress) and Mailchimp (deeply customized) 
  • Professional skills in verbal and written English 
  • Ability to read and/or speak Chinese is a plus
