Job description

A US-based company building a travel and navigation app to help drivers save more money on gas is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of analyzing and enhancing the performance of the applications. Users utilize the company's gas tools to get various information about gas costs and how to save money. They have managed to raise $3.5K+ during their Seed round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the importance of shipping on time and meeting deadlines
  • Help form and maintain engineering standards, tooling, and processes
  • Slowly analyze complex challenges and come up with innovative solutions
  • Gather requirements with the product and design teams
  • Take product ownership and actively push features 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • 4+ years experience building web applications using React, including personal side projects, school projects, and more
  • 2+ years professional experience with CSS
  • Strong knowledge of modern front-end JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Ember, or Backbone
  • Solid understanding of various SEO strategies and micro-service architecture
  • Experience building Webpack configuration
  • Proficiency with Node.js, RESTful services, microservices
  • Conversant with web UI and UX design principles, programming patterns, and best practices
  • Ability to interact with remote peers in professionally
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver sound verbal and written information
  • Experience with agile methodologies and accessibility standards is nice to have
  • Solid understanding of Webpack chunking is desirable
  • Nice to have some experience with universal/isomorphic rendering, GraphQL
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Conventional Commits, and Gitflow Workflow
