Job description

A fast-growing company that helps people take charge of their financial freedom is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will help push a mobile-first web app to Fintech consumers and will be responsible for creating a secure, highly scalable environment to help clients access data faster and securely. The company aims at scaling its development process to incorporate weekly sprints and deliver solid results. The selected candidate will work independently without supervision and take charge of running the project. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Build instances using public cloud providers
  • Install and configure NGINX webserver to manage web requests to API and front-end
  • Generate deployment key and integrate it to API/front-end repositories to enable server-based code pulling 
  • Implement and integrate PM2 to run API node server with a pre-installed NodeJS LTS
  • Set up MySQL server protocols like security configuration, created user, and restored database from dump
  • Fix problems with auth method between Node.js app
  • Set up firewalls to grant SSH and HTTP(s) access to servers
  • Configure HTTPS for API/front-end components (installed certbot, configured webserver, tested certificates autorenewal)
  • Configure API/front-code to the server and existing APIs
  • Develop front-end components and validated results
  • Build integration layers from MySQL to Snowflake
  • Utilize open-source tools and technologies where necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Knowledge of working with front-end technologies like Vue.js, HTML5, and SASS
  • Ability to utilize back-end technologies like Express.js, MySQL, and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of integrating analytical resources like Google Analytics and Facebook API
  • A thorough understanding of hosting solutions like Digital Ocean
  • Ability to migrate entire solutions to AWS
