Job description

A US-based company on a mission to help save lives by offering innovative products and smart city solutions is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with seeing a project through conception to a finished product by meeting both technical and consumer needs. The company's state-of-the-art Deep Learning algorithms AI, and computer vision perception IoT systems provides real-time data for intelligent decision-making and smart transportation solutions. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other software engineers, developers, marketing (e.g., graphic designers), and other team members to develop a reactive and responsive web application
  • Clean up data storage, set up demo site vs. live site, data visualizations, and user access
  • Develop high-quality web application designs that allow for both high-performance, easily understandable, and user-friendly interactions on the application
  • Understand and fulfill the application optimization for the front-end website architecture and back-end website application
  • Maintain servers and databases for functionality
  • Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile phones
  • Implement best practices that produce maintainable code, and develop and integrate APIs
  • Work with teams in a Scrum/Agile environment and conduct code review and testing
  • Prioritize efforts and communicate the "why" of prioritization 
  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written form with internal teams, executive management, and customers
  • Meet deadlines, work within and across teams, and with external customers and vendors
  • Pay attention to details and stick to project plans, including the business and technical requirements
  • Provide feedback and recommend changes to project plan to be efficient in development
  • Attend daily stand up meetings, document daily status updates, and weekly team progress meetings

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 to 5+ years experience working as a web and mobile application developer
  • Prolific experience with Maps like Goggle Maps, HERE, Mapbox
  • Knowledge of Data Visualization technologies and tools like D3.js JavaScript library
  • Demonstrable experience working with HTML, CSS, Python, C++, and JavaScript 
  • Extensive knowledge of React, Node.js, and Azure Cloud
  • Ability to handle front-end, back-end, database, DevOps, server dev, and cloud computing
  • Prior experience managing structured and unstructured data (JSON)
  • Deep understanding of what it takes to build and scale a high-traffic website
  • Strong experience with “coding in the large” in a structured software engineering environment
  • Proficiency in server-side languages such as Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net
  • Extensive experience with database technology such as CosmosDB, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
  • Experience in GitHub and Big data
  • Experience with robust, safety-critical, efficient code, systems design, and data structures
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Experience working with structure zipped data in the back-end and front-end
