Job description

An early-stage financial technology startup facilitating the buying and selling of US Stocks and Cryptocurrencies through an application is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will join the team and have a significant responsibility working on accounting, financial infrastructure, and treasury management. The company is focused on scaling up to democratize and expand economic opportunity beyond the 1% to billions of people in emerging markets. Candidates who are excited about taking on a big important challenge are well-suited for this role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in scaling the system that manages trading and money movement
  • Track all the forex and money movement between bank accounts, the clearing broker, and the crypto exchange
  • Develop creative engineering solutions and clean, well-organized, and tested code
  • Move quickly and iterate fast to find the best solution

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Detail-oriented software engineer with a good understanding of concurrency
  • Core expertise in Typescript, Node.js, Firebase, TypeORM, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch
  • Ability to write error-resistant, robust, and scalable code
  • Handle all the edge cases and exceptions
  • Significant concurrency, database, and scalable cloud computing (Google) development experience
  • Sound Firebase experience is a plus 
  • Solid engineering team management skills 
  • Familiarity with Brazil, Portuguese speaking or reading/writing, and crypto/stock trading experience
