Job description

A fast-growing SaaS company that is developing electronic document management solutions for businesses is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be expected to adapt and write using the house style and architectural conventions as a guide. The US-based company's innovative product enables businesses to quickly, efficiently, and securely capture paper, PDFs, and digital media into a searchable team-based system. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Convert ideas and designs into code that is fast, dependable, and well-documented
  • Help the team to improve and revise the legacy code 
  • Perform and get code evaluations, and take notes on what you learn
  • Support the sales and support team by contributing insightful technical ideas
  • Keep up with the latest tools, best practices, and technologies in the market

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 1-2+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Prolific experience working with PHP/MySQL, MVC, and JavaScript
  • Prior experience working with NGINX, Linux, and Git
  • Nice to have previous experience developing and maintaining projects on a standard LEMP stack
  • Experience writing both object-oriented and procedural PHP is desirable
  • Prior experience with both starting projects from scratch and jumping into an existing codebase
  • Familiarity with Git and Vanilla JavaScript is desirable
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
