Job description

A rapidly-growing language learning platform that offers its services for free is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will be tasked with analyzing website performance, suggesting innovative changes, and driving improvements. The platform aims to preserve and promote cultures through language, empowering a global community of thinkers, dreamers, and doers. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring at least 2 hours overlap with the CST time zone.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use advanced coding skills to quickly and efficiently solve problems that may arise
  • Design and implement reliable, low-latency, and highly performant applications 
  • Build distributed system for performance and scale testing
  • Work with a time crunch to meet deadlines and scale up engineering projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience working with React, Node.js, and Firebase
  • Nice to have some level of experience working with Google Blockly
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations and meet tight deadlines
