Job description

A US-based company that makes saving energy in homes and buildings easy, fun, collaborative, and measurable is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will work passionately to lead the product development and maintenance. As an early-stage organization, the company focuses on harnessing the power of environmental data, social science principles, and community to achieve scalable collective impact. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as a down to earth, heart-centered professional with a love for nature and a desire to build a more environmentally conscious society
  • Participate in valuable programming events
  • Help decide what, why, and how features are built
  • Work closely with a small team to rapidly iterate toward the best possible solution
  • Take charge of making key product decisions across the platform
  • Own large product surface areas, not just features
  • Communicate well with team members
  • Stay aligned to the mission to combat climate change

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience in software development with modern front-end frameworks
  • Experience in Node.js and React for the front-end 
  • Core back-end skills using Python, Flask, and databases (SQL)
  • Experience with energy using data and OAuth services is a plus
  • Comfortable building products from scratch and scaling them
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset, with the capacity to wear multiple hats
