Job description

A well-established platform providing relevant real estate solutions to users in an easily-accessible manner, is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be working closely with the product and engineering teams to plan, architect, and deliver core functionality for the platform. The company's platform tailors house-hunting to the users' preferences by filtering listings by property type, price, bedrooms, size, and unique keywords. This is an exciting opportunity for developers to work with a leading company and experience rapid growth.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate with autonomy yet influence the coding decisions of the group
  • Build foundations and mentor junior developers
  • Explore new technologies and investigate the use of Advanced Search or Artificial Intelligence to solve problems
  • Tackle a wide variety of problems from end-to-end
  • Build with a customer-focused nature in the forefront of technological decisions
  • Handle emerging problems pragmatically
  • Accept trade-offs, understand reasonable technical debt, and choose the right tools for the job

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-8+ years of professional experience with a background in web application development
  • Extensive experience working with HTML, CSS, and respect for performance optimization, and semantic design
  • Prolific knowledge of LAMP like Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP stack development
  • Solid experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, and/or other data-stores such as Elastic, Redis, or MongoDB
  • Solid foundation in PHP and JavaScript, exclusive of frameworks such as React/Vue
  • Familiarity with Modern Cloud-based technology stacks like AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure, etc.
  • Experience with GIT-based agile development practices
  • Good communication skills, enabling clarity, and operating with velocity
  • Nice to have prior experience working at a tech startup in the real estate or fintech sector
  • Some understanding of consumer web application development with complex search is desirable
  • Prior experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Big data is nice to have
