Job description

A leading consulting firm working exclusively with non-profits and mission-driven organizations is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will take charge of creating a dynamic, entertaining, precise, accessible, interactive, and performant web application. The company provides non-profit organizations with consulting, campaign, and fundraising services while also tackling some of the most pressing challenges faced by the environment and humankind. Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to design, develop, review and test applications
  • Write clean, efficient, performant, and secure code to build web applications
  • Work on robust designs and efficient delivery of features
  • Fix issues and debug previously built features 
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues
  • Help define and improve the internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience building complex web applications on React
  • Prolific knowledge and experience working with Node, PostgreSQL, and AWS
  • Experience working and keeping up with the rapid-innovation pace of a startup
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Nice to have some experience with complex data scenarios
  • Experience with infosec and compliance is desirable
  • Prior experience with engineering for accessibility (Section 508, etc.) is nice to have
  • Familiarity with building mobile web applications is preferred
  • Prior experience with TDD is desirable
  • Previous mission-driven experience like volunteering or teaching is nice to have
