Job description

A state-of-the-art platform providing high-quality continuing education courses for physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. This back-end-focused developer role is responsible for the regular improvement and maintenance of core back-end applications serving e-commerce, customer accounts, and internal operations. The company organizes 2,000+ live workshops annually across the US, offers 200+ online courses, and provides high-quality seminars for further education in the allied health and special education department. This is a nice opportunity for developers to work on life-changing Edtech technologies that will shape the future of young minds.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the account experience for the customers
  • Make the website/e-commerce app run smoothly through regular upgrades and optimization
  • Meet new marketing goals (REST API, back-end app)
  • Support data connections to various third-party tools
  • Work on enhancing the teams’ efficiency through a custom in-house operations app

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in a back-end development role
  • Skilled with IntelliJ IDEA, DataGrip, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Extensive experience working with Java, JavaScript, and Node.js
  • Prolific knowledge of AWS Aurora and MySQL
  • Familiar with AWS-Centric (EC2, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, API Gateway)
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently and prioritize, in collaboration with managers
  • A desire and drive to learn new technologies and grow as a professional
  • Excellent programming, analytical and problem-solving skills
