Job description

A U.S.-based company that helps other businesses ship their goods in an easy and smooth way across the country is looking to hire a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for building robust, flexible, end-to-end web-based applications and services. The company has different operations that range from the shipment of goods between facilities and long-term storage services to full-scale distribution, all in order to help their clients guarantee their goods are where they need when they need it. This is an exciting opportunity for developers determined to work in a fast-paced environment and build a lucrative career for themselves. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Using Python and JavaScript, build robust, efficient, user-facing web applications
  • Develop, create, and ship new functionalities for user interaction and data visualization, using modern APIs and frameworks
  • Contribute as part of an Agile product team focused on delivering an exceptional user experience
  • Deliver high-quality code that is responsive, accessible and mobile-friendly
  • Guarantee the code quality through automated testing, builds, and deployment
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture using modern design patterns and approaches, such as DDD and C4
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade the company’s software

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Proven experience as a full-stack Python developer primarily using Django, Flask, and SQLAlchemy
  • Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Experience designing and developing sophisticated, modern web applications and services using an Agile framework, i.e. Scrum & Kanban
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL), web servers, and UI/UX design
  • Experience building web services and RESTful APIs
  • A portfolio on GitHub and/or Open-Source forums showcasing your work and contributions
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with agile development processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, and great attention to detail
  • Be a self-initiator, intuitive, and possesses technical and business acumen
  • Fluent communication in English, both written and spoken
