Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a cutting-edge online platform that will bring revolutionary changes to the college admissions process, is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will help create products that high school guidance counselors can use to help students find colleges through the app process. By building rapport between students, supporters, high schools, and universities for a better admissions experience, the company is increasing student outcomes and enabling more students to attend college. So far, the company has managed to secure more than $32mn in funding. This will be a long-term, full-time position requiring 6+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on the platform’s technical debt, existing system optimization, as well as, new developer tooling
  • Collaborate with product managers and development teams to develop software solutions
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues
  • Create and maintain effective databases and applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience working with React and Golang
  • Some familiarity with MongoDB and ElasticSearch is desirable
  • Fluent in conversational and written English communication
