Job description

A US-based company building a voice-based dating application that helps users to build lasting relationships is looking for a Founding Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of identifying potential areas and processes that need improvement and recommending approaches. The company is on a mission to develop an innovative dating app for people looking for committed relationships. They have managed to raise more than $125K during their Pre-Seed funding round. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the existing codebase, improve the existing APIs, identify performance bottlenecks, and enforce best practices
  • Write high-quality, scalable code that will enable users to have a great in-app dating experience
  • Work with the founding team to translate business requirements into engineering tasks
  • Work efficiently across the stack, contributing to the mobile codebase and back-end infrastructure
  • Make decisions on how to grow and scale the app
  • Develop and manage the founding engineering team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer 
  • Demonstrable experience building scalable systems in a production environment
  • Prior experience working with backend technologies (PHP, JavaScript/Typescript, and NodeJS) preferred 
  • Demonstrable experience working with mobile technologies (Swift, Kotlin, and React Native)
  • Solid understanding of cloud AWS/Google Cloud
  • Experience with relational databases is a plus 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
