Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is building a novel platform to provide a unified source of information for businesses that need to make critical decisions based on data, is looking for a Cloud Software Engineer. The engineer will become a key member of the team and will be responsible for delivering high-quality, delightful features. The company's cutting-edge platform turns unstructured, dispersed data into replicable, accessible, and reliable datasets in the cloud. This will be a great opportunity to work closely with other teams in developing high-quality solutions.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineering and development teams to understand optimal cloud solutions
  • Help to build and manage cloud solutions following the best practices
  • Assist in designing, developing, and deploying modular cloud-based systems
  • Contribute to reviewing, modifying, and improving existing systems
  • Keep learning new skills and implement new cloud technologies
  • Build efficient data storage, processing, and security policies
  • Identify, analyze, and fix weak points in cloud infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Interact with clients to offer optimal cloud support based on their requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a Cloud Software Engineer
  • Expertise in Python development, including backend and web frameworks like Flask and Django, is essential
  • Must possess a deep understanding of software features like SSO, license management, IT configuration, and scripted deployment
  • Strong grasp over open source technologies for managing projects, releases, and engaging contributors
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of Cloud-native and serverless applications
  • Must possess an understanding of tools like Version control systems, especially Git
  • Should be well-versed with distributed data processes
  • A thorough understanding of Docker and Kubernetes is required
  • Excellent knowledge of databases like SQL and NoSQL
  • Must be able to work with AWS and perform unit tests and code reviews
  • Should possess experience of working on integration tests and continuous deployment
  • Familiarity with data science, data engineering, or visualization is preferred
