Job description

An NYSE-listed company that has been providing leading services to the public to help with expenses health insurance doesn't cover, is looking for an Application Developer. The developer will be in charge of developing, maintaining, and integrating the application software. The company offers individuals and businesses supplemental disability insurance that have an impact on their lives. This is an amazing opportunity for developers to work with industry veterans and gain hands-on experience. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Depending on previous experience with projects, provides continuous maintenance for iSeries, mainframe, and/or client/server applications or tools
  • Handle production support in their area of expertise and assist with problems that developers or managers refer to them
  • Develop and integrate programs in accordance with published specifications
  • Makes design recommendations; and, on occasion, will be in charge of authoring moderately difficult design specifications
  • Work on medium-sized and large-scale projects that are fairly complicated and call for heightened technical proficiency across a range of disciplines
  • Engage in application analysis, design, development, integration, and enhancement tasks, as well as related maintenance and production support, on one or more project teams.
  • Work with project teams to specify and create each project's scope
  • Analyze development needs and makes recommendations for moderately complicated systems during project planning meetings with clients, business analysts, and team members
  • Provide thorough design specifications for application code and modules by converting business and technical requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an Application Developer
  • Demonstrable experience working with ASP.NET and Angular
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English communication
