Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company that is building innovative gaming technology for social and mobile platforms, is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for building robust, functional, and sustainable applications with clean code. The award-winning free-to-play game company is on a mission to broaden its product portfolio and build more innovative gaming technology and products. The company has managed to raise $360mn+ in funding so far. This role requires 4+ hours overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in an Agile development environment (Scrum and Kanban) with Continuous Delivery
  • Manage, execute and take charge of the complete delivery process by ideating, delivering, and supporting the iteration of the product
  • Play a critical part in realizing the long-term goals and objectives of the company
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of designers, product managers, and developers
  • Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve applications
  • Design and develop high-quality reusable code 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • 2+ years of experience building NodeJS with REST API
  • Experience with JavaScript, NoSQL, and Web Development
  • Experience developing software with a team in a professional environment
  • Experience in Application Architecture, automation, security, microservice architecture, and domain-driven design
  • Knowledge of Azure and experience creating CI/CD pipelines
  • A detail-oriented, organized thought process and the ability to prioritize requirements
  • Strong debugging, profiling, and analytic skills
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated unit tests
  • Demonstrable ability to build high-quality products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
