Job description

A US-based API development platform that is utilized by 14 mn+ users and relies on active participation and collaboration is looking for a Technical Lead (Full-Stack Developer). The selected candidate will collaborate and work with a team of diverse engineers spread across remote locations and engineering hubs. The platform enables developers to build application programming interfaces and improve developer productivity efficiently and quickly. During their Series D round of funding, the company managed to secure $400 mn+ in funding. This is a great opportunity for developers to gain some hands-on experience while expanding their skills set.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own and operate the front-end mono-repo development and deployment workflows
  • Build and develop library toolchain, and any supporting infrastructures such as CI/CD systems
  • Help the Product teams to build great user experiences and interfaces quickly and reliably
  • Ensure that the development processes, services, and tools are fast and reliable for engineers daily use
  • Collaborate and leverage internal libraries and open source technologies to build quality products
  • Determine and scale the team’s goals and strategy with profound leadership
  • Take full responsibility for key metrics and craft a world-class developer experience
  • Utilize sound analytical skills to simplify complex requirements into milestones
  • Lead the team efficiently and coach other engineers to develop new skills and grow their careers
  • Participate in interviews in hiring and on-boarding exceptional engineering talent

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5+ years of experience building web front-end tooling and infrastructures
  • Experience owning and improving development workflows
  • Proficiency with libraries including Webpack, esbuild, Babel, Mocha, Jest, and Enzyme
  • Track record with large code repositories (e.g., mono-repos) and facilitating developer experience 
  • Expertise in tackling complex engineering problems revolving around productivity in a growing company
  • Competence in leading teams and working with CI/CD systems and workflows for large developer teams
  • Experience building remote-first teams is desirable
  • Experience in authoring useful front-end open-source libraries is nice to have
  • Nice to have some prior experience in building development tooling for multiple platforms - such as web, desktop, mobile
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for problems discovery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
