Job description

A US-based company providing world-class consulting services to businesses on culture and workplace engagement is looking for a Tech Lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting technical problems and developing software updates and fixes. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of technology-enabled applications and products
  • Lead the specification and design phases of the software development life cycle 
  • Play a significant role in delivering high-quality solutions that meet technical specifications, customer and market needs
  • Design requirements both in the initial product and in all product enhancements
  • Collaborate closely with Head of Product on project, operational, and strategic risks and opportunities, along with corrective action plans
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and ensure all initiatives are aligned with both the product and business roadmap
  • Ideate and design technical solutions for the product MVP and enhancements
  • Be the go-to person for the development team, schedule and facilitate weekly meetings (or more regularly as needed) 
  • Manage the platform development sprints and facilitate internal planning/review as needed
  • Oversee the technical aspects of the project, including quality control, deliverables, and timeline
  • Monitor the ecosystem and identify current and emerging trends and technology to inject new insights for specific use cases
  • Help develop and implement user feedback assessment and other evaluation techniques to inform current and future iterations of the product
  • Embrace design thinking, Lean startup approaches, and Agile principles

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Deep, strategic knowledge of server-side or full-stack programming, with a focus on performance and scale 
  • Familiar with toolsets such as Jira, Confluence, and HelpScout
  • Prior experience working with and managing third-party service providers is preferred
  • Passion for helping businesses transform and enjoy finding solutions to hard problems
  • Strong experience leading small to large projects
  • Have a well-rounded technical background in software development
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by fluidity or changing priorities
  • Competency in not just developing and driving project initiatives but also the ability to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
  • Expert at incorporating diverse perspectives, managing complex sets of requirements, and finding optimal solutions to technical problems
