Job description

A leading design marketplace selling art, home decor, and stationery, is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer. The engineer will join the team and help scale the cloud infrastructure for the rapidly growing e-commerce marketplace. The company is backed by top investors, with a focus on the principles of transparency and putting design first. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to drive the transformation of the infrastructure and take continuous delivery to the next level.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify that the production infrastructure is operating at scale, effectively, and dependably
  • Create new tools or enhance current ones to increase the production infrastructure's dependability, consistency, and observability and remove the need for manual intervention
  • To assure ongoing availability, create or approve current business continuity and disaster recovery strategies
  • Choose, collect, examine, and automate replies to important performance indicators, logs, and alerts
  • Encourage a group of engineers to adopt SRE best practices and standards by educating and inspiring them
  • Define standardized alerts, metrics, and monitoring across platforms

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Linux, Python, Bash, JavaScript
  • Demonstrable experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Gitlab/Jenkins)
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Docker, Terraform, and AWS Secrets Manager/Vault experience
  • Excellent English communication skills
