Job description

A well-established company on a mission to revolutionize the fintech industry with ingenious solutions is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of building sustainable systems and services with automation and uplifts. The US-based company, backed by world-class investors, enables customers to take the first step toward micro-investing. The company has managed to raise $500 mn+ in funding during their Series F round. This role requires at least 6 hours of overlap with the PT/ET time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building solutions to support operations and teams
  • Help to gather and analyze metrics for performance tuning and troubleshooting processes
  • Contribute to system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
  • Assist to improve feature development speed and system reliability through optimization of on-call processes
  • Document software development progress reports, support, IT operations, and on-call duties
  • Help to monitor app performance and keep the sites up and running

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a site reliability engineer
  • At least 2 years of experience in DevOps deployments
  • Must possess experience in working with operating systems like Linux and/or Windows
  • Should possess a thorough knowledge of DevOps concepts and best practices
  • Must possess understating of AWS 
  • Expertise in CI/CD implementation is required
  • Must possess hands-on experience in troubleshooting issues
  • Expertise in high-level programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Ruby, etc.
  • Ability to work with distributed storage technologies and dynamic resource management frameworks
  • Must have excellent communication skills with fluency in English
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git will be helpful
