Job description

A rapidly developing AI-powered platform building a highly scalable and versatile platform-as-a-service architecture is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer. The selected candidate will be working with stakeholders to understand customers' needs and to implement the cloud strategies accordingly. The company is redefining how people worldwide shop by replacing cash registers with computer vision-powered checkout processes. This role requires a 6+ hours overlap with either US or EU time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate actively with the cloud platform teams to design, develop, debug and support platforms, services, and application workspaces
  • Liaise with the application teams to manage, maintain and support new cloud-native applications and migrate existing applications to the cloud
  • Perform analysis on the best cloud applications, hardware, and practices to keep up with the best technologies present in the industry
  • Maintain solid and continuous engagement with top internal and external security experts 
  • Monitor the cloud architecture and operating model to ensure top security standards

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years working as a site reliability engineer
  • Experience with Cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Prior experience with Kubernetes/Docker, and CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GCP Cloud Build, and Github Actions
  • Solid understanding of artifact platforms like Nexus, Artifactory
  • Knowledge of Bash, Python, Go, Terraform and Terragrunt
  • Experience with Ansible and Salt
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Bash, Python, Golang, and Terraform is nice to have
  • Experience with Kubernetes or related automation/orchestration tools
  • Experience with domain-driven design and architecting systems that are easy to change
