Job description

A US-based company accelerating the investment research process for asset managers is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for implementing operational improvements, ensuring service availability, identifying and automating manual processes. The company is focused on making disparate financial data sources work seamlessly together. This is a good opportunity to join an early-stage company and rise quickly through the ranks. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of the system health
  • Build software and systems to manage the platform infrastructure and applications
  • Improve reliability, quality and scalability of the software solutions
  • Measure and optimize system performance, while pushing capabilities forward and innovating to continually improve
  • Provide operational support and engineering for multiple, distributed software applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency with Linux, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, Monitoring experience (Prometheus), Traffic, PostgreSQL, MS SQL is nice to have
  • Experience with distributed storage technologies as well as dynamic resource management frameworks
  • Capable of spotting problems proactively including areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
