Job description

A U.S.-based company that is utilizing advanced technologies to build a beloved content-sharing platform is looking for a Senior/Staff iOS Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for reviewing design and code documentation and providing input on product mockups and specifications. The company’s platform is enabling users to interact with like-minded users while building long-lasting communities. The company has managed to secure $1.1bn during their Series F round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create new things and prosper in uncertainty and failure
  • Effectively collaborate with teams in a totally remote setting, and communicate complicated ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work cross-functionally with colleagues in product, design, and other technical disciplines to implement business and product strategy and create cutting-edge products and features that people will like
  • Participate in all phases of development, including technical planning, creation, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Supervise a group of intelligent, nimble, and spirited engineers
  • Create guidelines and standards that enhance developer workflows, suggest best practices, and help in the coaching and mentoring of team engineers as they try to advance their careers
  • Consistently advance your technical and non-technical skills

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an iOS-Swift Engineer
  • 5+ years of expertise utilizing Swift to create user-facing iOS mobile native applications on a large scale
  • Prolific understanding and experience with Swift for iOS and Objective-C
  • Some experience designing maintainable APIs is a valuable skill
  • Prior understanding of one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Java, Python, Go, Rust, and C++, for creating software
  • Nice to have some knowledge of GraphQL, REST, and HTTP basics
  • Strong organizational abilities, a knack for prioritizing work, and the ability to maintain project timelines
  • Must have an entrepreneurial attitude, be self-driven, creative, and action-oriented in hectic situations 
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
