Job description

A U.S.-based company that is combining data and science to help individuals and couples achieve their dreams of starting a family, is looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams across database, DevOps, software, QA, and technical project management experts to assist in the creation and upkeep of Salesforce solutions. The NASDAQ-listed company is utilizing modern technological breakthroughs to create top-tier fertility benefits management services. So far, the company has managed to secure $113mn+ in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the development, configuration, maintenance, administration, and integration of the company’s Salesforce platform and other related products
  • Share thoughts, offer criticism, and work with the team on numerous initiatives that may not fall under your area of expertise
  • Build, maintain, and upgrade systems that are extremely scalable and comprehensive while keeping the end-user experience in mind to ensure continuous operation and improvement.
  • Focus on delivering basic yet elegant solutions and assume complete ownership and responsibility for finding answers to ambiguous challenges
  • Evaluate current projects and solutions with the Salesforce Architect to pay off technical debt and upgrade important initiatives
  • Ensure the availability and maintainability, debug, trace, and profile existing solutions
  • Collaborate with application developers, users, operational leadership, and subject matter experts to deliver current and future operational goals
  • Participate in all phases of the development and release lifecycle for Salesforce, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations
  • Be a self-starter who is highly motivated and who exemplifies honesty, initiative, and ingenuity

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Salesforce engineer
  • Extensive knowledge of Apex code and classes, Visualforce, REST, SOAP, APIs, XML, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Requisite Salesforce platform developer certification
  • Knowledge of all Salesforce features, such as Sales and Service Cloud Experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development, staging, production, or comparable deployment cycles
  • Strong familiarity with CRM recommended practices and Salesforce Governor limitations
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to develop, code, test, debug, package, and deliver high-quality, scalable, and well-documented solutions
  • Must have Salesforce declarative programming expertise, including knowledge of change sets, test code, the Salesforce API framework, third-party APIs, assignment rules, validation rules, visual workflow, process builders, custom reports, the Apex REST API, and the Developer Console
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce Lightning Design System and Components
  • Experience using pre-built SFDC capabilities as well as creating unique solutions on top of it by leveraging Apex and Web Service programming, App-Exchange packages, and custom applications
  • Good oral and written documentation skills Excellent awareness of how to use data from various external sources and integrate it into the CRM environment
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members to produce efficient code
  • Nice to have some experience working in the Healthcare industry
  • Experience working in Marketing Cloud and/or CPQ, as well as ETL tools like Jitterbit and MuleSoft, is desirable
  • Salesforce.com Platform Developer II certification is nice to have
  • Experience working in an agile Scrum environment is preferred
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
