Job description

A rapidly-growing company on a mission to build a responsible and robust dating platform is looking for a Senior LAMP CRM Engineer. The engineer will be leading the development initiatives of a small IT team, including both development work and supervising the architectures proposed and implemented by other engineers. The company aims to build technology-based revolutionary products that will usher in a new stage in the online dating industry. Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute migrations to Amazon Cloud (AWS), in coordination with other tech team members
  • Contribute and assist in projects following an Agile framework
  • Oversee branching of policies utilized by a small team of developers
  • Take ownership of deploying essential APIs
  • Implement gradual testing of new different functionalities as part of all deployment plans
  • Interact with business-side end-users for understanding user stories/requirements for implementation
  • Suggest multiple implementation processes to the CEO, as the CEO will make the final decision of which way to proceed
  • Utilize time and screen tracking technologies to encourage accountability via metrics and milestones
  • Participate in team’s daily standups to stay aligned with goals and progress of self and other developers
  • Work on fixing emergency problems in the live sites (on call for occasional issues)
  • Help to organize logistics when concerned team members are unavailable
  • Oversee failure analysis of any bugs or system problems leading to downtime
  • Improve key metrics for marketing and operations teams, like page load speed
  • Implement new marketing and operations functionalities to improve integrations with
  • marketing partners and new functionalities for our internal operations teams
  • Keep improving documentation and development procedures

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience working as a LAMP CRM Engineer
  • Communicate clearly with the team and the CEO to keep the team aligned on the same goal
  • Must have a quiet working environment with fast and reliable internet and Windows computer with a high-quality webcam and USB headset
  • Should possess familiarity with LiquidPlanner or other project management tools
  • Must be open to work in different time zones to coordinate with teammates whenever required
  • Utilize company time-management and time-tracking software to track your own work time
  • Make sure to follow guidelines set by the CEO
  • Suggest technical modifications before taking action
  • Must be able to work on Agile, complex CRM development, and integration with mobile applications
  • Should possess expertise in working with PHP, MySQL, Linux, Git branching, Elastic beanstalk, shell scripts, google docs, and more
  • Must be well-versed in Redis/PHP caching for data, AWS development strategies, CI/CD, and Database architecture
  • and optimization of queries, optimization of image caches, refactoring MySQL databases to move old data to report instances
