Job description

A fast-scaling company enriching people’s lives through exceptional cannabis experiences is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving a secure and robust infrastructure to support the applications. The company has built a reputable brand and helped develop businesses at the intersection of consumer, technology, and wellness, with over $400 mn in funding. The selected candidate will build systems and tools that support the software platform with a reasonable balance between speed of delivery and reliability. This role requires at least 6 hours of overlap with PST and offers the possibility of a long-term engagement.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate measures and best practices for supporting rapid continuous delivery of software
  • Collaborate with small cross-functional teams consisting of Mobile, Back-End, and Firmware engineers
  • Engage in design discussions, decision making, and code reviews
  • Take charge and lead engineering conversations and mentor others in the team
  • Assist in troubleshooting production incidents and providing timely resolution
  • Write clear, concise, and maintainable code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience with DevOps and Infrastructure
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes Or CloudFoundry, and Microservices
  • Development experience in either Python, Ruby, or Golang
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Terraform and BOSH is a plus
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is desirable
  • Nice to have some experience in Cassandra, Redis, and Jenkins
  • Experience running distributed big data and machine learning components at scale is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
