Job description

A U.S.-based company that is on a mission to establish a circular commerce ecosystem that brings perpetual value to society, economy, and environment, is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer. The engineer will be working in a dynamic environment with a big operational facet to meet organizational and engineering objectives. The company is launching top-tier retail technology that is revolutionizing how customers buy, sell, own, and interact with products in order to enable the transition of fashion to a circular economy. The company has managed to securely raise $8mn+ during their Series A round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Boost development speed by automating and securing cloud infrastructure
  • Actively participate in the on-call rotation and add to the architectural design sessions
  • Take charge of developing and revising existing code
  • Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub actions to collaborate effectively
  • Provide hands-on contributions to coding, scripting, and code enhancement, coupled with operational support for the engineering team and company-wide functions
  • Enhance scalability, dependability, and security throughout the lifecycles of products
  • Work together with the knowledgeable, distributed engineering team that utilizes an agile architecture
  • Develop tooling to increase development efficiency and automate and strengthen infrastructure, from clouds to endpoints
  • Engage in worthwhile initiatives that bridge sustainability and technology

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a DevSecOps Engineer
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure
  • Demonstrable experience working with programming/scripting technologies and languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool, with a preference for Terraform specifically Terragrunt or similar modules
  • Thorough understanding of how to set up cloud-based monitoring, alarms, and logging
  • Demonstrable experience scaling and managing huge infrastructure codebases
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD systems and their security concerns is required, with a preference for GitHub Actions 
  • Working knowledge and expertise with Azure Logic Apps and/or Function Apps
  • Preferable to have some experience working with DataDog
  • Nice to have prior expertise integrating, creating queries, and automating incident response with a significant SIEM, particularly Microsoft Sentinel
  • Some Ansible working knowledge is desirable
  • Experience with Jamf for MDM and integrating it with a SIEM is preferred
  • Nice to have some expertise in managing and integrating SaaS applications into Single Sign-On using Azure AD
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
