Job description

A fast-growing company building a revolutionary platform that enables members to take control of their finances and earn monthly passive income, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of ensuring infrastructure reliability, identifying and fixing performance issues, setting up monitoring, and developing self-healing systems for the platform. The US-based company is connecting successful business owners with everyday investors to unlock competitive rates and returns. The company has raised more than $15mn during their Seed round of funding. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring some overlap with the CST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Work in a leadership role and help the team develop efficient software processes
Perform regular unit testing to ensure the security and performance are in line with the company’s goals
Optimize existing software systems for scalability and large-scale infrastructure
Deploy tools in a wide variety of open source technologies
Collaborate with the product team to build continuous deployment/integration solutions
Work in close collaboration with developers on web-scale monitoring systems

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Extensive experience in Linux, Unix, and Ethereum
Nice to have experience in Go/Golang and Java
Experience working with configuration management solutions is preferred
Passion for learning new technologies
Experience with scripting languages is a plus
Solid understanding of best practices for web-scale infrastructure is nice to have
A comprehensive grasp of containerization technologies
Familiarity with load balancing methodologies and technologies is a bonus
Demonstrable experience working with cloud solutions (AWS, IBM Bluemix, or Azure)
Prior experience working with collocated deployments is nice to have
Proficient knowledge of continuous integration systems is a bonus
Fluent in verbal and written English
