Job description

A fast-growing company building a revolutionary platform that enables members to take control of their finances and earn monthly passive income, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of ensuring infrastructure reliability, identifying and fixing performance issues, setting up monitoring, and developing self-healing systems for the platform. The US-based company is connecting successful business owners with everyday investors to unlock competitive rates and returns. The company has raised more than $15mn during their Seed round of funding. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring some overlap with the CST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:


  • Work in a leadership role and help the team develop efficient software processes
  • Perform regular unit testing to ensure the security and performance are in line with the company’s goals
  • Optimize existing software systems for scalability and large-scale infrastructure
  • Deploy tools in a wide variety of open source technologies 
  • Collaborate with the product team to build continuous deployment/integration solutions 
  • Work in close collaboration with developers on web-scale monitoring systems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Linux, Unix, and Ethereum
  • Nice to have experience in Go/Golang and Java
  • Experience working with configuration management solutions is preferred 
  • Passion for learning new technologies
  • Experience with scripting languages is a plus
  • Solid understanding of best practices for web-scale infrastructure is nice to have 
  • A comprehensive grasp of containerization technologies
  • Familiarity with load balancing methodologies and technologies is a bonus 
  • Demonstrable experience working with cloud solutions (AWS, IBM Bluemix, or Azure)
  • Prior experience working with collocated deployments is nice to have
  • Proficient knowledge of continuous integration systems is a bonus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
