Job description

A rapidly-growing company that aims to develop a market-leading performant exchange platform for traders is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be expected to actively contribute to the core platform while implementing new ways to automate and improve the development and release processes. The company is providing customers with ultra-fast decentralized perp exchange services that is set to launch soon. This is a nice opportunity for developers to work in a fast-paced startup environment. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, ideate, and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance, and scalability 
  • Develop and deliver creative solutions that enable engineering teams to function better 
  • Provide support and implement tools to facilitate workflow improvements 
  • Build common tools and procedures to streamline and standardize software development 
  • Build, support, and deploy AWS infrastructure across environments
  • Partner with the company’s customer support team to resolve critical issues impacting customers and traders
  • Work directly with the product and engineering teams to support new product launches

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience with the Linux environment
  • At least 3+ years of experience with AWS with Kubernetes
  • 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining automation/configuration management solutions 
  • Ability to identify performance bottlenecks, anomalous system behavior, and resolve root cause of service issues
  • Ability to independently debug problems involving the network and operating system
  • Extensive experience with SQL and Redis
  • Proficiency with HTTPS and Websockets
  • Familiarity with deployment using Docker is a plus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
