Job description

A US-based company that aims to disrupt the tech industry with their advanced AI, IoT, cloud, and mobile technologies is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will be expected to follow and implement industry best practices to scale the team forward. Job Responsibilities:

  • Help the team in building next-gen applications and clouds that leverage the latest technologies like Kafka, AWS, Containers, Terraform, Cloud Native, AI, ML, and CI/CD
  • Play an imperative role in shaping the architecture, features, and procedures required for the maintenance and release of high-scale cloud platforms with teams
  • Develop the processes, support, and tools for teams to effectively self-manage within an owner-operator model
  • Establish and support infrastructure code patterns and best practices for teams
  • Manage and support engineering teams to deploy their software
  • Operate alongside cloud engineers to specify iterating patterns and processes for helping services in a production atmosphere
  • Work on prototyping unproven concepts to notify final implementations
  • Stay abreast of the latest cloud topics and trends
  • Work on automating everything possible and leveraging CI/CD to automate quality checks and repeatable tasks
  • Manage numerous AWS accounts and offer unified operational support
  • Create several common dashboards, alerts, and monitoring used by the organization 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Experience with AWS DevOps is a must-have 
  • Skills in Typescript, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, Go, Java, AWS Lambda, Linux, and CI/CD is desirable
  • Prior experience in Puppet, AWS RDS, EC2, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is preferred
  • Some knowledge of Docker, Chef, Ansible, Shell Scripting or Terraform would be nice to have
  • Must possess fluency in written and spoken English
