Job description

A US-based company that provides flexible, AI-powered retail solutions is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. As a highly motivated engineer, you will work with both external clients and the internal tech stack in software architecture, troubleshooting, and system design. The company works with global retailers to create customized autonomous shopping experiences and has so far raised more than $30mn in funding from leading investors and venture firms. This role offers a great chance for engineers to work with a small innovative team and be a part of building the next big thing.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality code to be deployed directly and quickly at the client site
  • Directly interact with clients and design solutions to address urgent needs
  • Design and implement testable and scalable code to handle multiple requests daily
  • Collaborate with a stellar and dedicated team to create one of the world's most cutting edge systems
  • Incorporate client's feedback to enhance the platform’s core system modules
  • Be the go-to-expert and core developer for the full-stack platform 
  • Quickly identify issues in API, front-end, back-end, and operational tools
  • Resolve issues with the computer vision and sensing modules
  • Ensure timely feature deliveries and full-cycle deployment
  • Strive for simplicity to make the systems more stable and scalable
  • Put customer needs first without compromising quality

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Experience defining infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Proficiency with Python, Go, and C++
  • Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and across multiple applications or projects
  • Solid understanding of modern DevOps/SRE concepts, including automation, configuration management, and others
  • Strong DevOps capabilities using containers (K8s/Docker), Linux (Bash/CLI), CI/CD, log management (ELK or similar), and message queues
  • Core competency in diagramming architecture, documenting recommendations, and communicating them to coworkers and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with designing technical architecture and knowledge of a wide array of open source technologies and how they fit together
