Job description

A US-based company utilizing AI and Machine Learning techniques to provide cost-effective and innovative solutions is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The engineer will demonstrate strong technical skills in DevOps and expertise to deliver current, enterprise-grade, cloud-native architectures and automation. The company is trusted by some of the world’s leading enterprises and operates as a support experience platform, helping companies serve and retain their customers through intelligent escalations, interactions, and resolutions. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity requiring a time overlap with EST/PST.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with development and stakeholders to understand the application guidelines
Design, implement, deploy, and monitor the cloud-based infrastructure to meet functional and non-functional requirements
Structure the development and release cycles to ensure smooth and successful product and update releases
Help operationalize the DevopsSec roadmap and play a leading role
Advocate for alignment with the application, security, and business teams
Participate collaboratively in Sprint and Scrum ceremonies
Guarantee that internal environments match external environments, prioritize automation, and use infrastructure as code
Monitor the application and infrastructure in production and act on escalations, and remediate whenever necessary
Rotate, store and monitor logs so that engineering is aware of application behavior in production
Provide high levels of automation and modern CI/CD pipelines

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer
Familiar with Terraform/Python/Jenkins based CI and CD automation
Demonstrable expertise delivering cloud-based platforms built on GCP (Azure, AWS, Oracle-Cloud, Rackspace, VMware Cloud, etc.)
Demonstrated familiarity with other data center technologies
Good understanding of various IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings within GCP and other clouds
Knowledge of Machine Provisioning, Database Provisioning, Network Architecture and various other aspects involved in VPC design
An understanding of various non-functional requirements
Expert skills in scripting tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Python, Bash, and other technologies
Prolific skills in containerization tools such as Docker, Docker-Swarm, Kubernetes, etc.
Familiar with SIRP, SIEM, and IDS/IPS/WAF solutions (Snort, Mod-Security in Open Source, Splunk, etc.)
Ability to lead using Agile development methodology
Proficient with modern Authentication and Authorization tools (OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, etc.)
Proficiency with Auth0 and/or Okta or similar vendors
Fluent with Git/Github (especially branching, merging, tagging)
Passionate about working in a distributed, collaborative, communicative start-up environment
Comfortable with some levels of ambiguity in terms of requirements
