Job description

A fast-scaling all-in-one governance platform that enables algorithmic accountability to drive ethical decisions with transparency is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. As an engineer, you will be responsible for developing robust and scalable platforms for AI validation, governance, and monitoring. The company has established itself as one of the world’s first QA for ML platforms. During their Pre-Seed round, the company has managed to secure funding worth more than $1 mn. This will be a full-time, long-term role that requires some overlap with the IST/PST/EST time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software
  • Lead discussions aimed at diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues and provide timely and accurate feedback and follow-ups
  • Contribute efforts in helping the team pay off technical debts
  • Breakdown large, complex problems into multiple simpler problems
  • Apply skills and expertise toward building automation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python and its ecosystems 
  • 3+ years of experience related to infrastructure engineering
  • Extensive experience with AWS technologies, GCP/Azure, and PostgreSQL
  • Demonstrable experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless computing, and Microservices
  • Fluent in building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub Actions 
  • Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.)
  • Familiarity with building interactive monitoring systems on Prometheus/InfluxDB, Grafana, etc.
  • Core competency in Computer Science concepts, algorithms, design patterns, and some common architectures 
  • Experience with the Cloud, Big-data, and Microservice architectures
  • Familiarity with on-prem solutions like OpenShift is desirable
  • Nice to have some experience with AI/Machine Learning products
  • Prior experience developing in other languages is nice to have
