Job description

An emerging startup specializing in delivering financial services to investors, firms, and other associated businesses is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The engineer will work on architecting and implementing new development tools and infrastructure. The company is dedicated to offering top-notch services to clients seeking investment opportunities in private establishments, funds, collectibles, etc. It has so far raised more than $8 mn in funding. Candidates who would like to join a VC-backed company and expand their skill sets are well suited for this position. It is a full-time role that requires some time overlap with PST/EST.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey the same to developers
  • Implement new ways to automate and improve the development and release processes
  • Troubleshoot and fix application bugs as they arise

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience with production code
  • Must have experience in React, Redux, NestJS, and PostgreSQL 
  • Nice to have some experience with Prisma and ORM
  • Good knowledge of web protocols with awareness for security concerns
  • Experience in a software team as an IC 
  • Familiarity with the entire SDLC and semi-agile processes (PR's, demos, deployment technology)
  • Be comfortable to ship rapidly and make independent architectural decisions on the schema, APIs, components, and communication testing 
  • Capability to write Unit, Integration, and E2E tests
  • Prior experience at startups or Fintech companies
