Job description

A U.S.-based company that is providing investment property loans for home real estate investors, solidifying its position as the top private lender in the industry, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and facilitating the use of tools to automate business processes. The company is utilizing technology to create simple financing processes and dependable funding for real estate investors. The company has managed to successfully secure $156mn+ in funding so far.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure using code, while simultaneously managing system configuration
  • Establish and execute environments for both production and pre-production
  • Create and implement reliable plans for environment configuration changes, validation, and rollbacks
  • Design, implement, and automate governance procedures, security controls, and compliance verification
  • Create and implement systems for monitoring, measuring, and logging
  • Make sure the systems are scalable and available
  • Use the platform in accordance with our security and privacy policies
  • Build, deploy, and oversee continuous delivery processes and systems
  • Create and deploy innovations that boost the speed of software engineering, the resilience of the infrastructure, security, and data availability
  • Plan and carry out significant updates with no downtime
  • Write incident postmortems and take part in recurring security audits
  • Participate in analyzing and repairing data breaches
  • Monitor the environments and provide quick response to alert/incident troubleshooting around-the-clock

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with AWS, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and Terraform
  • Solid understanding of the AWS architecture and technologies including S3, EC2, ELB, ASG, ECS, EKS, and VPCs
  • Extensive working knowledge of Kubernetes, Elastic Container Service, and Docker
  • Prolific experience working with infrastructure built from code (Cloudformation, Terraform)
  • In-depth knowledge of configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, and Packer
  • Prior experience working with Linux/Unix (including DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP, LDAP, firewalls, load balancing, routing/switching, monitoring, and web applications) 
  • Strong expertise developing and maintaining continuous delivery of code
  • Ability to work with a mixture of Cloud and DevOps while interacting heavily with existing source code/scripts
  • Significant practical knowledge of setting up, configuring, and resolving issues with web-based services
  • Excellent track record of implementing highly accessible SaaS solutions
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
