Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company that is successfully revolutionizing the insurance industry by providing specialized and affordable coverage via an app is looking for a Senior Developer Experience Engineer. The selected candidate will make it easier for engineering teams to concentrate on their highest purpose and generate the most value by resolving, automating, and eliminating the day-to-day drudgery that developers face. The organization is spearheading the FinTech revolution by developing powerful insurance products and technology platforms that alter the rules of today's world. The company has successfully raised more than $800mn in funding.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize activities of coworkers in the engineering field
  • Maximize productivity and generate the most value for the company
  • Ensure each engineer has the appropriate equipment, methods, and working environment to enhance productivity
  • Dedicated to achieving a new degree of delight and experience
  • Create higher-level abstractions and components that developers can use in their projects
  • Achieve best-in-class quality and speed to market, optimize the build, merge, and release cycle (CI/CD)
  • Create, administer, and maintain self-service toolkits that allow autonomous teams to concentrate on business value rather than day-to-day tasks
  • Use rich sample applications as building blocks or starting points
  • Assist with the development of the developer platform, which engineers across the business will use
  • Create and construct simple tools and reusable components, making careful compromises between consistency and availability
  • Design and deploy our developer platform, collaborate cross-functionally with product teams, technical teams, and partner developers
  • Design fault-tolerant systems and take suggestions from the engineering community, collaborating with them on productivity projects, as well as contribute to other projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Must have expertise with Ruby, React, Rust, Postgres, Docker, AWS, and Buildkite
