Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is building products that help expand financial access, choice, and control globally, is looking for an SDET/Data Science Engineer. The engineer will help maintain, review, propose and implement improvements to existing frameworks, tools, and processes. The rapidly-growing global technology and data science company is focused on developing the most convenient financial services in emerging areas. They have managed to raise $300mn+ in funding during their Series E round. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cover all of the microservices with back-end automation, and incorporate it into the regression and release processes
  • Discuss intricate designs, architectures, and algorithms
  • Recognize the role that the task being done has in the overall picture
  • For both front-end and back-end services and features, develop, maintain, carry out, and keep track of automated tests
  • Understands how to collaborate with other SDETs and cross teams while resolving common issues in their own area
  • Maintain automated tests while keeping track of them
  • Review test case coverage in the test management tool on a regular basis and keep it current
  • Establish and keep track of post-production metrics
  • Create and execute unit and integration tests for machine learning models using different types of data
  • Include the execution of automated tests in the software development process
  • Work together with the squad leader and other important stakeholders to plan the release and support of high-quality releases
  • In order to further improve the quality of the product, assist and work together with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Credit, and Business Development) to find automation opportunities
  • Maintain, review, suggest, and put into practice modifications to the current frameworks, tools, and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 4+ years of expertise developing test tools and frameworks utilizing Groovy, Kotlin, Java, and Scala
  • Knowledge of Jenkins and experience using CI-CD tools, Shell scripting, Linux, and Mac OS X for either back-end or front-end services
  • extensive knowledge of the Behavior Driven Testing (BDD) paradigm and at least one Behavior Driven Testing frameworks, such as Spock or JBehave
  • previous knowledge of microservice automation
  • understanding of the need and knowledge of data science
  • Worked previously in an agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban)
  • Experience with one or more version control systems such as Github, Gitlab, and Perforce
  • Fluent in written and spoken English communication
