Job description

A well-established company that has successfully developed a comprehensive platform that offers users a wide range of online entertainment content, is looking for a SDE3 Web Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for the continuous optimization and advancement of the web while making the products accessible on devices with limited memory and network. Through its multilingual video streaming platform, the company offers a wide selection of OTT and athletic content. This position requires a significant overlap with the IST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver new user-facing features to the website or app in collaboration with the product's stakeholders
Verify that UI/UX designs are technically feasible before implementing them.
Lead a feature from conception to completion
Create libraries that are cross-functional and reusable
Provide documentation, DFDs, and code comments to support and clarify solutions
Review the code and adhere to the coding rules
Ensure the delivery of the features by collaborating with internal teams, designers, and stakeholders
Support and guide software engineers by offering counsel, guidance, and educational opportunities
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge, stay abreast of new technology, and recognize the advantages it offers the product

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4-7+ years of relevant experience as an SDE3 web engineer
1+ years of experience solving low-level design problems in distributed systems
Prolific experience working with JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and Web Performance tools
Prior experience working extensively with Browser APIs while delivering pixel-perfect experiences
Solid understanding and experience with design and architecture
In-depth knowledge of how browsers work
Strong enthusiasm and eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks
Innate skill to understand why a framework is necessary
Prior open source contribution is nice to have
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git
Familiarity working with front-end build tools like Grunt or Gulp
Solid understanding of performance improvement technologies and solutions
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
