Job description

A U.S-based company establishing a reliable and effective platform for creating and using APIs is looking for a Release Support Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for forming new frameworks and tools that will allow hundreds of engineers to write code efficiently. The company is supplying developers with high-productivity tools that promote collaboration. This is a fantastic opportunity for developers eager to work with a team of professionals. Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and deploy new tools and scalable frameworks that enable engineers to produce quality code 
  • Improve the release workflow and offer technical direction to the overall architecture and design
  • Boost and define the technology stack by employing open source tools, generalizing product-specific code, and developing unique solutions to challenges that arise
  • Oversee the use and creation of scalable infrastructure to promote product quality and engineering effectiveness
  • Mentor actively via extensive code reviews and paired programming

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience building products and/or testing infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Webpack, ESbuild, Babel, Mocha, Jest, and Enzyme
  • Expertise in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, and Typescript
  • Competency in Agile development and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of technologies such as GIT, CircleCI, New Relic, AWS, etc.
  • Sound Engish communication skills to effectively communicate across functions 
  • Identify tooling needs and automation gaps to reduce toil in the development process
  • DevOps experience developing distributed frameworks, infrastructure, or other development and monitoring tools as an essential part of the production systems is nice to have
  • Experience in contributing features and fixes to open source software or creating and promoting your own open source tools is a plus
  • Technical publications or authoring related to software development and delivery is nice to have
  • Proficiency in English
