Job description

A fast-growing company that is undertaking impactful, high-impact carbon projects to help build a better future is looking for a .NET API Security Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of writing clear, modular, and well-documented code while ensuring that the coding standards and best practices are followed. The company is on a mission to fight climate change while empowering women and enhancing living conditions in poor nations. So far, the company has managed to securely raise $148mn+ in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creation and implementation of a security model for a .NET API
  • Work together and in tandem with the software engineering team
  • Transparently discuss deadlines and deliverables with the team and leadership
  • Meet deadlines and collaborate with IT leadership on iterative development

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a .NET API Security Engineer
  • 4+ years of experience working with .NET and C#
  • 4+ years experience in REST API development
  • At least 3+ years of ASP.NET and Entity Framework experience
  • At least 3+ years of experience developing in AWS including with Lambda and API Gateway
  • Prior experience implementing security models
  • Competent with Git version control and remote repositories on GitLab/GitHub
  • Ability to work autonomously, troubleshoot, and communicate pro-actively
  • Nice to have 1+ year of experience with Entity Framework Core 
  • Some experience in agile and iterative development environments is desirable
  • Prior experience with ElasticSearch and/or Solr is nice to have
  • Experience working with distributed back-ends is preferred
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
