Job description

A US-based company building a regulated digital health platform that caters to a global audience is looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager. The engineering manager will have to weigh several, and often conflicting, constraints and make rapid choices in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company. The company is helping to accelerate the development of a best-in-class software as a medical device. During their Series C round of funding, the company raised more than $160mn in funding. The selected candidate will work actively to develop inclusive teams that empower people to do the best work in their careers. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and grow engineers while keeping them engaged and focused on the product and company vision
  • Partner with peers in Product Management and Design to craft and evolve the team’s vision, mission, and strategy
  • Help implement effective engineering processes, metrics, and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress
  • Help set and fulfill the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant software development experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • 4+ years of experience serving in an engineering management role shipping customer-facing products
  • Experience managing a full-stack team including mobile, web, and backend engineers
  • Experience working on large-scale distributed systems
  • Strong management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
