Job description

A US-based company building a regulated digital health platform that caters to a global audience is looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager. The engineering manager will have to weigh several, and often conflicting, constraints and make rapid choices in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company. The company is helping to accelerate the development of a best-in-class software as a medical device. During their Series C round of funding, the company raised more than $160mn in funding. The selected candidate will work actively to develop inclusive teams that empower people to do the best work in their careers.

Job Responsibilities:

Mentor and grow engineers while keeping them engaged and focused on the product and company vision
Partner with peers in Product Management and Design to craft and evolve the team’s vision, mission, and strategy
Help implement effective engineering processes, metrics, and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress
Help set and fulfill the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 8+ years of relevant software development experience
4+ years of experience in a leadership role
4+ years of experience serving in an engineering management role shipping customer-facing products
Experience managing a full-stack team including mobile, web, and backend engineers
Experience working on large-scale distributed systems
Strong management and organizational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
