Job description

A U.S.-based company that is helping businesses to drive their revenue, insights, and sustainability necessary for the success of their products is looking for a Mobile Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for analyzing current solutions and providing scalable solutions for the product’s benefit. The company enables brands to connect to customers, scale resale, try new business models, and access insights from everyday interactions with the world. The company has managed to secure more than $8 mn during their Series A round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the source code necessary to develop mobile applications
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications
  • Identify scalable opportunities to develop new mobile products and protocols
  • Support the entire application lifecycle from concept to design to testing, and release and support
  • Develop APIs to support functionality of mobile devices
  • Work closely with colleagues in marketing and product development to improve app design and functionality
  • Produce fully functional mobile applications using clean code
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify bugs and bottlenecks 
  • Engage with clients to understand customer needs and opportunities 
  • Liaise with the product development team to plan new features
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize for performance
  • Adapt current web applications for mobile platforms

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in mobile development (iOS and Android)
  • At least 2+ years experience with React Native
  • Proven track record in building scalable solutions
  • Prior experience with large scale consumer level datasets
  • Experience building and launching mobile applications
  • Solid understanding of test-driven development and DevOps and CI/CD software engineering practices
  • Strong knowledge of both Apple HIG and Android UI design principles and patterns
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
