Job description

A US-based company on a mission to help their members live more healthily by improving their lives and saving money on insurance is looking for a Mobile Engineer. The engineer will report to the Team Lead and will be part of a diverse and innovative group of individuals who thrive on big data and proven results. The company is dedicated to assisting seniors to increase their lifespan by providing savings, literacy, and educational tools to those who are health-conscious. They have managed to raise $135mn+ during their Series D round of funding. This is a great opportunity for developers who are eager to contribute to a relevant cause. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and enhance mobile software for a new consumer-facing web application that will be integrated with existing API services
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to create a set of shared components and styles that can be reused for rapid iteration
  • Allow for robust analytics in Product and Marketing to analyze AB tests and plan iterations for KPI improvement
  • Discuss architectural and design options with development teams, business users, and leadership

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as a mobile engineer
  • Must have an experience in React Native and Typescript
  • Experience publishing Android and iOS apps on the Google Play and Apple App Stores
  • Strong front-end development skills, including the ability to create user interfaces from mockups
  • Working on apps with other engineers in a collaborative environment is a plus
  • Capable of quickly and easily adapting to ambiguity and being at ease with ambiguity
  • Knowledge of native build tools such as XCode, Gradle, and Android Studio is a plus
  • Knowledge of Swift, Kotlin, or Java native mobile development will fetch you brownie points
